British Veterans Card Unlocks Discounts in USA

One of our members has just returned from a holiday in the USA where he found that his British Veterans Recognition Card was readily accepted as proof of former service. Richard Lindsay visited several venues in Florida and Virginia which admit serving and ex service personnel, and their dependents, for FREE during 2008. He found that the following visitor attractions would offer the same benefit to British ex-servicemen and women providing they were able to prove their former service:

Willamsberg,Virginia-Busch gardens

On return to the UK, Richard said: “I saved $120 by producing my Veterans Card and we also got plenty of discounts in many stores. It has been well worth investing in a card.”

British Veterans Show Dates

British Veterans will once again be present at a number of shows during the year. The principal aim is to raise awareness of the scheme within the ex-service population but it also offers a wonderful chance to meet current members. We have confirmed the following shows:

Saturday 5th/Sunday 6th July - Aldershot Army Show
Saturday 12th/Sunday 13th July - Royal International Air Tattoo, RAF Fairford
Saturday 6th/Sunday 7th September - Duxford Air Show
